LVS 32 on sale still better off with 34? / LVS32 update fix?

So im sure this has been beat to death and I know most people that have commented on it say if you can afford it get the LVS 34 but usually thats in reference to both at regular prices

Regular price here the LVS 32 is 1999 while the LVS34 is 2199 (both with gls10) which would be a no brainer in my opinion at that point to get the 34.

Right now there's a few stores that have the LVS32 with GLS10 box for 1500 on sale until the end of November

Right now there is a cost difference of about 791$ between the LVS 32 and 34 after taxes

So with that being said. At that price gap between both is the LVS34 still worth it to spend an additional 791$ over the 32.

I Also saw that some of the previous / recent updates have resulted in poor image quality and function of the LVS32 is that still an issue or has another recent update corrected those issues and its back to performing like it was / should.



Sorry for more then likely beating a dead horse but curious on peoples opinion when the cost difference is fairly significant vs when both are at regular prices.

from my searching, there is only a $500 difference between the LVS32 and the 34 system here in the states. Might get a friend or relative to mail you a nice gift for Boxing day....just sayin

I do have friends that could do the middle man in usa.

Even right from basspro all said and done in checkout its 1206ish usd which is around 1650 canadian and still have to worry about brokerage and import fees which would make total over the cost of what I would pay here

1500 cad plus tax is 1695 so even if I didn't get hit with brokerage fees I wouldn't save much and if I did get hit with those fees I'd be darn close to the cost of the lvs34 bundle.

Looking at the Rakuten app BP has 3.5% cash back which still doesn't bring it down enough to risk the brokerage bs.

What's killing any kind of savings is due to our crappy dollar value sadly.

There's ways around reducing your chances of getting hit by those fees but it comes with a risk as your dropping the value amount of the shipment so if it goes mia your SOL.

Rakuten % at BPS changes for some reason day to day. Today (right now) comes up 10% for me. Was 11% the other day LOL.

To me the Livescope is worth any price. I had the 32 and now have 34. Mainly use for Crappie and Gills so set at 50-60'. For longer distance might make more of a difference, but at closer range not so much.

Nice yeah I downloaded the app right after your post came up at 3.5% but I'll keep an eye on it. 10% may be enough would have to do some math lol.

Yeah I typically fish from 5ft down to 30 consistently the odd weekends I could go for some trout in the 60ft range but not frequent enough to base a purchase off of.

Same would go for boating season.

All said and done. If I can save almost 800 bucks on the 33 seems like it's money well saved and could be used for a summit pole and whatever else.

I own 2 garmin echomap 75 sv uhd units. While not top of the line they definitely do the trick

ended up pulling the trigger on the lvs 32 that was on sale for 1500 from 1999.99 (from a Canadian store) even at 10% discount using the app it was border line saving any money if I got hit with any fee's.


Was a bit of a gamble as Cabelas and other large scale outdoors stores such as sail didnt have any sales on the livescope yet. But I am a little wearing on the availability
