I worked construction back in the 80's and everytime that we worked in the Paducah area I made it a point to eat at Skinhead's as often as I could. It was always jammed packed in the mornings. Like you said, the food was outstanding!

There's a little joint in Kingman, KS called Smitty's. Only has about 4 tables and the building looks like it's ready to fall down. Best burgers and pork tender sammiches around. Fantastic homemade onion rings too. Always eat there on my way through town or on my way home from the tree stand!

There was a gas station in Wellston, Michigan near the Tippy Dam that had fantastic breakfast sandwiches. I used to stop there every year on my annual steelhead trip, but sadly they closed a while back.
When I was working construction, there was a BP gas station near one of the job sites that had outstanding food. Burgers, sandwiches, hot sides, pulled pork; you name it and they had it. It was inexpensive and top notch.
Some of the best food you can get is in some of the least expected places.

We always stopped at that Wellston spot too, sucks they closed.

Any FBO after buying 100k lbs of Jet A fuel from them on the Air Force’s dime.

My favorite is Million Air on Chennault Field, Lake Charles. Anything you want from Leonard’s for $1. They will have it ready for you when you land.

McDonald's in Hawaii

They have the best Portuguese sausage breakfast plate.

Next to that is the Musubi / Pork Hash you get from their 7-11's.

Carne Asada tacos and burritos at the Chevron in Lakeport.

Ohhhhhh, those are amazing! We used to stop by there after tournament days. Several of us would eat there and buy more for the family so they could enjoy it as well.
