Makes you wonder where all the money that was supposed to be invested went.

in 10 years energy consumption increased 12%, so it sounds like renewables and maybe nuclear made up the difference. Good. Maybe we should divert the trillions given to the fossil fuel industry to renewables and make even more progress.

The number spent was around $3.1 trillion on renewables. Just pissing into the wind.

Our Govenor, Glen Younkin, said no to solar panels and wind mills. In stead he wants Nuclear plants. Make the Most sense!
The only reason it only fell this much is because of the FF required to manufacture the alternative energy.
Once all of these devices are in full production to reap the benefits, it'll be time to make new ones.
Maybe by then, we will see another 1% reduction.
Life makes sense once again.
I don't understand why they can't say yes to all 3 in addition to existing energy? I get there are political talking points on all sides, but frankly the government is going to get involved on all fronts anyway so why don't they diversify now instead of trying to please one lobby?

I have owned Exon stock for many years. They are making it clear that they are getting out of the oil business. That alone must tell you something.
