Ultrex - Intermittent slow steering

I have an issue with my Ultrex that started popping up on Saturday this weekend. Occasionally while turning the motor it seems like it slows down in the turn and the pedal is physically firmer to turn. Almost like it is sticking. It doesn't do it all the time and it does it both turning right or left. Any thoughts on what might be going on with it or anyone that has experienced that before?

There have also been a few times recently where I would step on the momentary button on the foot pedal and get no action out of the prop. A quick on and off with the power switch has fixed that issue, but wondering if there may be something related.

Check power connection on anything you have to supply power to the troll motor. Look for loose connections, corrosion, at the battery. Loose or discolored wires and connections at the plug if you have one. What type of breaker do you have on the troll motor power wires near the battery?
