Classic hunting rifles

I have experience with seven of the ones listed. Still wanting a CRF Winchester one day.

This list is full of nostalgia which is something I look for in a hunting rifle.

I still own and use examples of every one listed. My 760 is a long action carbine and my 99 is in 10 times better condition than the one shown and in 250-3000. The author mentions missing his Howa 1500 HBAR in 308. I just finished working up new long-range loads for this just a couple days ago. I understand his comment. Smoothest action for the money available IMHO.
