No. It is not covered BUT you may want to check if the metal cover is warped. If it is warped, it will not fully support the gasket causing a blow out. Ask me how I know…

My 2020 just had the gasket issue. Scared me as it went into guardian for overheat.
What engine? The 250 has an upgraded carrier available I believe for the gasket problem.

Traditionally, water pump gaskets and impellers ARE considered a maintenance item. However, if they fail due to another defective component (such as a warped pump housing), that should be covered.
Mercury is now recommending Perfect Seal be applied to the bottom of the gasket as well.
