    Recirc pump bad?

2018 ZX 225. Was working first part of the day, then it quit. Question, when I turn the toggle switch on, the light does not turn on, on the switch and pump doesn’t work. Dumb question but could it be a bad toggle switch since red light doesn’t come on or is it a bad recirc pump?

School me because I’m dumb. The panel under my driver console has a panel with little rubber nipples. I screwed off the one that was labeled recirc. It’s not a fuse. Now for whatever reason, recirc is working. So I know I’m dumb but what is that panel and where are the fuses? And why is my recirc working now?

Most likely a circuit breaker and when you checked it out you happened to reset it

Follow up I would be asking what set it off

if it pops again possibilities are

bad connections, a wire that has worn and is now shorting out, pump going bad, blockage in plumbing causing pump to over heat

check that all connections on the switch are tight and not shorting

This happens when either pump going bad just a warning (might want to order one to have as a spare) or some crawfish shells got stuck in propeller in pump and trigged it to flick off , if it does (no fuses) just look for the right one and push in it pops again replace pump .Crawfish shells are what causes 95% of time to do what happened to you.

Well I did have 25 crappie in there at the time and it was running for a couple hours. Those suckers are scaly so maybe scales got stuck in it. Thanks for all the help and suggestions.

If you feel it is scales take the nozzle head off and see if any come out when you turn the pump on

also a small plunger can be your best friend

fill the live above the intake and give it a few pumps and see if any scales float out

a piece of barfed up shad stuck in the pump. Been there done that.
