    Fenwick Elite Bass

    Has anyone tried one out? Specifically the 6'10" MLXF. Just wondering how it compares to the old Elite Tech Smallmouth rods.

    I have a couple of these rods. Not the exact model your talking about though. I have the 7ft med bait caster. Big fan light weight and very sensitive. I think they are even better than the old model

    If you look at the specs of these rods and the description of the blanks they are using they appear to be the same as the Garcia Veritas PLX Tournament rods that were introduced this year. I have not seen the new Fenwick Elite's but the PLX rods are really nice. They are both part of the Pure Fishing Group, and it would not be uncommon for a company to use the same blanks/components on a different series.
