    Carpet over NonSlip

My bass boat has aftermarket non slip. Thinking of going to carpet. Does the nonslip have to be removed or will glue adhesive stick to the nonslip? Thanks

I would clean it, take any wax and oils off it first.

I restored a boat a few years back and used Kiwi Grip on the cockpit floor. Ended up not liking it, was a little rough on bare feet and anything you put on the floor and put in some Amazon Sea Dek style flooring. Glue will stick to it but because of the texture you will likely have to use more adhesive than you would normally use. If I was doing it a second time I would have knocked down the texture with some coarse sandpaper first.
