    Spare line storage

Save empty Teflon tape dispensers, use them to keep spare line & leader. They're roughly 2" diameter so they hardly take up any room in a tackle bag. They'll hold enough line to respool a reel if need be. I use a sharpie to mark them for easy identification.

Only problem I see with that is with them being so "Small", they would cause the line to become a "Slinky" when spooled and then when thrown from the reel. I save any larger spool I can so as to NOT have that issue. The bigger the spool, the less coil.

I use pool noodles... the larger size. I just cut it to the length I want and make a little slit in it to pull the start and end of the line into. Works great.

I also use this to store sassy shad type Jigs with leaders, which I troll with. Just cut a 1 foot length and you can easily wrap 10 of the leaders and lures and secure them with the individual slits for the start of the leader and then just push the hooks into the pool noodle foam.
