Yamaha trim gauge not working

I have a 2006 Z521 w/250 vmax and the trim gauge reads up all the time, i've moved the trim sensor on the motor up and down but doesn't move the gauge, all the wiring look's connected,
any idea's please, Thanks.

My Yamaha trim gauge reads full up with the key OFF. So you could have a power wire off or open between key switch fuse panel and gauge.

Check that the cam on motor tube, and plastic piece from the sender are aligned. Adjust if needed. Trim gauge only works if power is on.
