Ultrex squawk!!

How do I stop my Ultrex from “squawking” when the boat rocks back and forth.

i hear it in the aluminum portion if I had to guess.

This is when the Ultrex is deployed.

Not sure exactly what you are describing but for me at least to correct any and all noises, I first had to set my mount up using a level, after leveling the boat. Once I got that corrected I then had to go through the mount and tighten up everything, screws, nuts and bolts. Alot of the hardware was not secured during manufacture. Now the system works perfectly as designed. Hope it helps.

This is after two summers. Not a new install

But maybe stuff is just loose.

I can guarantee everyone that owns one of these knows the sound.

Put the motor on 10 and do a hard 90. You will hear it then too

rear pivot bushings need to be replaced.

I do not recommend WD40. It will attack all plastic parts and make them brittle. A non petroleum based silicon spy is best.

As stated above I would check the pivot bushings. Remove the side plates and you will see them.

I would.
A shot or two down the shaft where it runs through the steering box also.

I really like my Ultrex, but it squacks/squeaks wayyyyyy worse than any TM I have ever had. Everybody always suggests the bushings….I had mine replaced, and it had very little, if any effect. I also have tightened everything multiple times…no improvement. I would luv to find the culprit.
The motor works perfectly, though.
