    393 Yards per game

Stats for the RB at the local high school

    4 games in
    1,595 yards (first in state)
393 yds/ game (first in the nation)
    152 points (first in state)

Tied for the PIAA record for most 400 yard rushing games in a career (4)

    And he’s a JUNIOR!!!!!!

I think the kid might have a football career ahead of him. Ethen Knox, Oil City Area High School

Just curious is any of the teams he’s playing have a winning record? We have a few schools thats very bad on defense after we get high scores we will pull our kids out not to get hurt but if we left them in there is no doubt they would have numbers just like him? Or is the kid just a stud ?

Not taking anything away from the kid, but what does his offensive line look like? Running backs get all the glory, but often times its the line that does most of the work.

The offensive line is big, fast, and skilled, but this kid is just plain good also. He's fast, has tremendous moves, and he hits the holes so fast that often times he's through the secondary before they even know it. When he gets outside, look out. It's quite fun to watch.

Apparently a converted WR. Fast but different ballgame at D1 college. He hits the holes completely upright, that won't work with the big boys. Also can he pick up a blitz or otherwise help protect the QB.

Good on him for what are really eye watering numbers but I'd venture a guess he's not making it to a Power 5.

Seems like we have kids around here just about every year that could put could put up stats like that, but they get pulled out of the games in the 2nd quarter because the other team is so bad. For instance local kid week one had 375 yards and 5 TD's on only 14 carries. Another 70+ yard TD run called back on penalty. He came out of the game before halftime.

I like high school sports. Every year you get that 6 foot plus kid that just tears up the competition. Good for him. The problem in PA we have too many high school teams, which means a small student body resulting in a lot of very bad teams. A true result of this is what took place in our conference. The West Pac was so bad that the few good teams left. The result is that the West Pac is no more. I coached in the West Pac and our nick name for it was the Weak Pac.

Not taking anything away from this young man, he certainly is a standout. But you also have to understand the situation in PA. Within 10 miles of my house there are 12 school districts and two catholic schools. The population is maybe 75,000 people.
when you see this on the water stop and say hi.

That's a LOT of mileage for one kid. Do they ever throw the ball?
