02 225 EFI cranks but no fire

This is an update from an earlier post. While idling my motor died and will not restart. It sounded one quick beep just before this happened. I have found that after turning the key on to start there is no audible beep initially but after about 15 seconds it will come on and stay on but the motor cranks fine but I have no spark. Where do I start. I thought maybe kill switch but it seems to be functioning correctly. OT554543

sure sounds like loose connection ,check batt connections first , check for burnt connector at main power relay , beeper staying on indicates possible loose or disconnection /failed component

I can make the alarm stop by moving the kill switch to off so I believe it’s functioning correctly.

^^^ These items, or the MPR (Main Power Relay Itself).

And don't overlook the battery and/or cable connections. LOAD TEST battery to confirm it's actual capacity right at this moment- and check the connections. Nominal or lackluster voltage supply may be enough to spin starter, but NOT enough to hold MPR contacts closed.

JOE54, should I have power on the black/yellow wire going to the kill switch with the key on?

Ok great, that’s what I thought but wanted to be sure. I’m out of things to check now so time to drag it to a shop. Thanks for your help.

I ordered the service manual and gonna try and help myself as much as possible before dragging to a shop. I feel like it’s the pcm by the crazy thing it’s doing but maybe I’ll get lucky and I’ll find something stupid simple. But my luck doesn’t usually run that way. I’ll report back when it’s blowin smoke again. Thanks

No blown fuses in the fuse block at the motor or anywhere else. Unless there’s one somewhere I’m not aware of.
