I have a 1989 175 black max I don’t know the serial number the yolk was replaced when I bought the motor. I have the 40 amp charging system. The original voltage regulator/rectifier went out in December of 21. The voltage regulator and the stator were replaced. The regulator/ rectifier blows each time I take it out. I have replaced the battery per cdi recommendations have checked all the grounds and continuity all with acceptable readings. Any advice to why the regulator/ rectifier keeps burning out.
