Does the ghost trolling motor have a 2 piece shaft? Wondering how to get the pedal a little less sensitive when turning.

I am bad about using mine wide open to cut across small channels sometimes. Only took me a few times of nearly throwing myself out to remember to turn that bad boy down when you reach your destination.
