Lower unit identification

I was told that the lower unit on my engine has been replaced for a higher performance model. I am replacing the gearcase oil seals and have ordered the seal kit for my motor (S/N OG803540).

The seals that were sent are too small. How can I identify which lower unit I have or better yet, how can I find seals to fit?

The inside diameter of my bearing case is 1.728"
