    Motor swap need prop help.

I have a 2002 20xd. I had a 200 efi on the boat. I do not have any props that I think will work on this motor. I ‘d like to have a prop that has good top end but will also not bogg coming out of the hole when loaded to fish.
ive been told a bravo28 is a good all around prop. Suggestions please.

I would think a 28 maybe a little to much for a fishing load and a 200. Now wait on a 20xd expert mine is just first thought guess.

    I’d try a 24p if possible. I ran a 24 on my 200.

It would help if we knew what motor, gear case & gear ratio you swapped to.

26-27P Bravo1 XS or Marks Razor4 XL is where I would start.

I ran a 28 Bravo on my 20 XD with a 250 XS and a sportmaster, 1.62 gears. With 1.75 that you are likely running probably would work. To get the performance the 20 is capable of it needs a sportmaster.

My buddy sent a 28 bravo to Mark for the same setup and has a good hole shot and top end.

A 28 bravo xs worked by Croxton should be good. Hopefully it will put you on the limiter before you find the limits of the torque master. I would be looking for a Sporty.

Just for reference my 20 xrd 250 would run 88-90 with a worked 28 bravo and sporty.

I have a sporty on a XRS... I have heard that the 21'10" XRS would actually perform better with a Torque Master... So I may would be willing to swap.

Totally agree. I have a 300 R on my XRS and I too think a sporty is not as good as a torque master.

I ran a CLE lower unit on my 20xd one time an it lost 6 mph. I have been told by a couple of guys that the torque master gen 1 was the better of the lowers. I just need a prop, I’m moving up from a 2.5 to a 3.0 Ltd an all my props are to small.I’m just trying to get some reliable info on what to put on the 250xs I really don’t won’t go thru the hassle an expense of trying numerous props. I’d like to just buy one an go fishing. Thanks I’m still looking.
