    DD26 Motor Support

I have been seeing several pros, most recently Mark Rose, promoting the DD26 motor support on their BassCat boats. Also, DD26 has pics with a lot of their supports on BassCat boats. Is this now acceptable per BassCat or are they still recommending the old style transom savers?

Sherm sold me one for my 2022 Cougar. It's probably still not "preferred" by BassCat, but I really like mine.

I have one for a SHO that I’d be happy to part with if someone needs it. Someone make me a reasonable offer and I’ll send it to you.

The owner of DD26 is a Bass Cat guy that's why a lot of their pics are on Bass Cat's.

On my current 300 Mercury, the upward trim range is about 3/4 of an inch shy of allowing the rubber stops to clear the engine cavitation plate.
Have had the engine trim range adjusted by the dealer, but says he can’t go further up.
had this same issue on my 300 last year, same dealer was able to adjust it so the DD 26 could be installed as intended.

    Anyone else have this issue?

My Erya is like this as well. It wasn't an issue on my Bullet.

Thats odd. I have no problem with my DD26 on my Lynx/300R. Works great.

You have to install it top first to clear the cavitation plate, meaning hold the top up inside the plate, put your ins in and then lower motor.

Why would it be different between 2021 and 2022 model years?

Mike W- stand it vertically then get the two spring loaded posts in the second hole. Once done you tip the rubber stops down and trim down.

This is what I’ve been doing. I’m using the DD 26, but was just curious on why we could adjust the trim range on my 2021 engine, but the 2022 won’t adjust far enough.
