    On the big engine battery cables make sure the terminals are properly crimped.

    That makes me 80% sure the year old Interstate 31 Marine Crank has gone bad!
    If charged for a full day it can now turn engine over enough for one start…then it’s down. It cannot hold the alternator charge even after a 20 mile run like yesterday.

    Sounds like you found your problem. The Interstate on mine only lasted 10 months. I went to an AGM of a different brand.
    You could charge yours and take it somewhere to get a load test, but it will probably tell you what you already figured.

    Those Group 31 Interstate AGM batteries do not seem to be up to the task. I went through two of them in 8 months before switching to an Odyssy. Since then, no problems after 15 months.

    Consensus is crank battery is shot and needs a load test NOW...boat is at dealer behind many others so thanx...

    HOWEVER even when engine just did click click click the hy plate and tilt still worked... head scratcher?

    I discovered on way home boat carpet is peeling off inside wall corner of rod box on my 2022 Nitro Z18…
    I bought a can of spray adhesive and container of carpet glue…

    will give to techs Dec 5/6 at 100 hour check to repair.

    Have owned 8 Skeeters and nothing like these two failures 1st 9 months ever happened!



    Am good for 100 hour annual Dec

    Monday the 5th at 10 am or Tuesday the 6th at 10am… put me down for one and let me know.
    Will bring parts bought from you today.

    side note to BBC:...(Am taking boat out fishing about 3 hours or so Tuesday 9/13 to double check new battery
    and get some casting in since its been OVER a month since August 12th when battery first failed) Thanx for all helping tips.
