Slamming noise when raising power poles
I have gen 1 (CM 1.0) 10ft power pole blades. When raising them up (at the higher speeds) they make a fairly loud slamming noise as they reach the full closed position. Does anyone else encounter this? I wonder if I'm missing a bushing / pad somewhere that is meant to absorb the shock of the unit fully closing. Thanks in advance.

Could be
The early run generation 10' BLADES did not have the SOFT CLOSE cylinder. You can tell if it has a soft close cylinder by looking near the Power Pole logo on the cylinder itself. You will see an additional logo. Looks like a square with a feather in it. If you have a 10' BLADE with no soft close then they would have always come together the same way.
If it's something new that's developed it wouldn't hurt to check to see:
There should be (2) rubber strips running the full length of the top U channel. When the pole closes and the U channels come together the rubber strip sits in between the 2.
There should be (2) rubber pads located between the EverFlex Spike and bottom u channel. 1 pads is located at the bottom tip of the spike and the other is about 1/2 way in between. When the pole closes the spike closes against the pad.
While we are discussing it. There should also be 2 rubber tension blocks located in the channels. They help with stow and deployment and would cause the channels to slam shut.
