Ice chest

Have any of you guys added insulation under the lid. We some time go tie up to ski boats and kick back having a cold beverage or 2. The cooler is big enough but seems insulating the lib would help. I do lay a towel on top seems to help.

Plugging it help keep the water and ice in it

I had some insulation used for HVAC systems lying around and applied some under the cooler lid. It made a huge difference this summer.

Thanks I’m going to try something may use the 1/4 or 1/2 inch it come in 4x8 sheets foam with double back tape.?????

I take a cooler with me on my trips. I use the cooler in the Caymas for quick access to my tie off ropes.

I used the self adhesive foil and foam air duct insulation. I made a cardboard templet of the bottom of the lid and cut the insulation to fit, then cut the hole for the latch.
