I use Durasafe locks on my units.

Nothing is 100%, but it at least slows the thief down and might make them pick a softer target.

I was going to go that route. Decided to replace the knobs with security style bolts instead. Same concept to maybe detour or make someone think twice and move on.

Take A crow bar to fiber glass and that DF is coming out I promise locks or not. Now instead of replacing a DF you got to replace your steering console and a DF.

I used security bolts on mine for the last 5 years , not a cure all but at least it makes it a little more trouble and they might move on to the next one....If they want anything they will get it a thief is a thief...

Garmin EchoMap with the quick release cradle to protect the head units. Security screws to protect the cradle.
Sig Sauer security system for everything else.

I've got durasafes on the front units, more for visibility than anything else (like the locker bar - in my mind it says I'm locked, go steal someone else's), but like others also use tamper proof screws underneath them. On the console I have all tamper proofs - no durasafes. I had them at the console for a while, but they do stick out a bit with duals. I may go back and add them, haven't decided. Looked at the Ram Pin mount, which is less "wide" so wouldn't stick out as far, but don't really care for the converted threaded stud setup, and it doesn't appear they would work well with thicker mounts like BBT and PS, ie not enough threads to get a solid mount - I could be wrong though. Plus, it's easy to defeat them with a pair of pliers, and I didn't want have to keep track of yet another key/device, so for now just running tamper proof screws in all four holes on the console units. I also use Durasafe lock for my trailer, swing tonque, etc it's nice having all that on one key.

For those using Durasafe - how many per unit? 1 or 2?

For those using security bolts, which ones?
