    10" or 12" Jackplate

I'm sure this has been discussed before. Anyone got any setup data or recommendations for jack plate size. My boat is a 206 and I'm planning to power with a new Mercury 250 Pro XS 4 stroke. Also, planning to go with a Bob's hydraulic plate just curious about size. Thanks in advance.

Factory put 10” as largest on their models. I would not go bigger. We have some folks here who really know best. Hope they chime in shortly.
