Hydrofoil or 4 blade prop for Pro 170?

I'm trying to figure out how to lessen the time to get on plane without losing much top end on a Pro 170 with a 40hp. I've been looking at an SE 300 hydrofoil and a 4 blade 10.1 x 14p prop. Between the two, which one would be more of a performance boost?

Edited to add - this prop - https://www.amazon.com/Mercury-Spitf...N81HQXHD4WHZD9

Get them both. Just know that by getting a 4 blade and using it on a 170/ Classic XL hull you will get porpoising.

I had a 2 Stroke 40 Merc on a 775# Starcraft Stratocaster. I had a 13" Merc Vengeance and it was a little wonky out of the hole, needing 3000rpm to get up. 4800rpm was the sweet spot. I highly recommend the Spitfire.
