You should see a doctor. This is nothing to be coming to bbc for advice. heat stoke can happen at anytime. Sun glare from the water and the motion of rough water is a bad situation. How fast were you going?
Being jerked around in a boat can cause neck muscle fatigue and pinched nerves. As a Navy Corpsman in the small water flotilla I saw all kinds of symptoms that is what you described. Eating and being hydrated doesn't stop heat or sun stroke. I still suffer from light induced Migraines. These are sometimes a full body ache and muscle soreness. If bright lights causes you pain ,this can lead to permanent nerve damage.
But I feel that as we age our eyes become more sensitive to refracted light, as being on the water. I hope you feel better soon.

For the win, dehydration and exposure. The sun really saps it out of me way more than when I was younger. And a few days later, vertigo?

I use to get bad headaches when I went fishing. Realized that I would tighten my hat when I took off so I wouldn’t lose it but then kept it on all day without loosening it. I felt like an idiot when I finally figured out what was causing the headaches. Not saying that is your issue but it was mine.

Sunglasses made a big difference in my days on the water ,I have blue eyes and sun wreaked havoc on them till I bought quality sunglasses .But they never lasted 3 days so you should check with a dr. to be safe could be a combination of things jarring boat ride sun exposure and dehydration combined but would want to be sure before I do it again .Have it checked out

If this is a new issue after fishing for years, GO SEE A DOCTOR.

most likely, as mentioned before, dehydration but something new like this last for multiple days needs to be checked out.

It normally is dehydration and sun. Last week here is GA I drank 4 Gatorades and 6 waters throughout the day. I only peed once. Your body needs a lot of water when in the sun all day.

Not to scare you but my father had something like this when out on Lake Erie. The perceived motion lasted several days. He went to a doctor and was referred for a bunch of scans on his neck and head. He had a brain tumor.

Good fitting sunglasses. When sunglasses slide down you may unintentionally use ear muscles to hold them up. essentially using muscles that you normally dont use. Gave me crazy headaches after a day on the water.
Costas did this to me and I finally found a pair that sit right and stay put.

3 days later? Might be more going on than a tight muscle.

I will get bad afternoon headaches after a long day of fishing without food/ snacks. I used to hardly ever eat, but figured it out & atleast snack on a few items throughout the day. Sunglasses contribute a heckuva lot to cutting down on your eyes straining which can cause it and they also keep your eyes from getting too much wind in them which is another way to getting headaches.

Equilibrium off is what would really concern me. Headache after a few days couple with the balance being off a little bit may be a combo of the above and a disk out of whack also.

Like everyone else is saying: Food, water intake, not just the day of, the day before. Also, even wearing sunglasses, sometimes the sun will hit just right and next thing you know, you are squinting more than you realize. My dumb a_s self fished one morning with his hat turned around backwards. Massive headache that afternoon and I know it was from squinting. I suffer from migraines. I know the triggers AND still screw up from time to time and set one off.
Just be kind to one another. It really is that simple.
