    Question Hydraulic tilt/trim problem

My motor jerks whenever its trimed all the way up and i try to trim it down, its like if there is air in it ,
it does not come down smoothly until i reach a certain height than its smooth. any ideas what this could be?

    thanks!

Tighten the tilt tube nuts first. Search this site for the topic. It has been discussed previously.

my 2000 did that its entire life. i torqued the tube nuts and lubed it and it was never better. i just got use to lowering while moving at idle speed and it didn't jump or lowering before starting down to the second ram. have you lubed the tilt pins also?

Mine was doing that, also wouldn't trim down from full trim WOT and would kick up in reverse. O-rings on manual release screw fixed it.
