2014 Ranger Z520C Rod Tube Removal

I am looking to remove the port side rod tube assembly on the boat ( if possible) so I can install a backing plate to secure a troll tamer. Are these tubes difficult to remove? I realize there are only 6 screws to remove but just wondering with the foam if they are tough to get out?

    Thanks

From what I've read, they are a huge pain to remove. Do a search in this forum, I think there are many threads about it.

Just install the troll tamer to the deck using the screws supplied. It will stay buttoned up and won't move.

Yeah, I would pass and just screw it to the deck like designed, that’s a rabbit hole you’re not going to enjoy

From what I've read, seems like most people would rather hit their nuts with a sledge hammer then try to remove the tubes again after they have completed the job.

Ouch lol I will not remove the tubes. Guess I will just screw in from top and hope for the best.
