Coming from helix’s I’m struggling with the Solix g2.
I seem to be to stupid to figure out how to get it to show where the boat has tracked.
Anyone want to explain what I assume is probably a simple oversight .

You have to turn track overlay on. I just can’t remember exactly from memory at the moment. It’s in settings under the mapping screen somewhere. I’m not near my Solix at the moment.

Having current track turned off has to be intentional, and is not a default setting.
In the Nav widget, select Options/Tracks/Track Options, Record Track should be ON if you want a Current Track.

I’ll double check , but I’m pretty sure I have record track on , and I’m still not seeing any track.

Maybe try zooming in..that was my issue..felt pretty alone at that moment.
Auto Save only creates a permanent saves track from your current track. That wouldn't help your issue.Originally Posted by Madeintheshade
Make sure you have track display turned on in the chart settings. It's under the Overlay Settings when you touch the upper left part of the screen status line while viewing the chart.

Restore defaults and the current track will start recording.

restore factory defaults didn’t fix the problem .
restore navigation defaults did .

Glad you got it going. Solix is several times as complicated, but that allows for customization. Maybe try using the Angler mode instead of custom till you find things you need to change for the way you want it to run. I found a bunch of manual reading and time using it makes things a bit simpler, but never “EASY PEASY”. Touch screen is a plus, but there is a learning curve to be sure.

This is precisely how my Solix's behave, I have to reset NAV data defaults to get the record current tracks to toggle back on from having been toggled off manually.
