2010 optimax wont go above 2000 rpm

    2010 Optimax 150 (2.5L)
    S/N : 1B790419
Boat : Donzi sweet 16 copy

Picked up this boat and engine from a lady who said she ran e85 through it then let it sit. Took it on a test drive and it ran then died and wouldn't fire back up.
Compression is good. We changed spark plugs, cleaned vst, impeller, tstats, changed fuel ball, switched to external tank, read fuel pressure and air pressure both at 80 and 90 on the hose, rebuilt pulse pump. The engine fires up and runs great on the hose. Revs up in gear and out of gear on the hose. The second you put it in the water it only makes it up to about 2000 rpm before it starts bucking and sounds like it is starving for fuel. Could injectors be dirty that they cant properly push fuel out under load? Any ideas? Thanks guys

    Deleted the duplicate thread.

Based on what you've said, what spark plugs were used?
New fuel line with OEM bulb ONLY?
    Pulse fuel pump rebuilt?
    New fuel filter?
Does having someone pump the primer bulb while trying to accelerate help?
