    1223 vs 1223 xsv

    Making the switch from Active Target to Garmin, and have a question.

    I will be using this graph for nothing but forward facing. Am I ok with the 1223 or do I have to have the the 1223 xsv?

    Difference is the XSV unit is sonar capable where you can actually plug a 2d/imaging ducer to the unit. The non xsv does not have those capabilities.

    Your fine with the non sonar unit but if you ever think there is a possibility you might want sonar then go with the xsv unit.
