Using Vinyl Fabric to insulate & protect battery top, fuel tank sending unit,

Thought I'd share, I figured out a simple and cheap way using a flap of vinyl fabric cloth to protect my battery top & terminals which allows me to store rope on top of it now.
The flap is screwed in on one end so it stays in place yet I can flip it up to gain full access to the battery terminals when needed.
Also to protect the fuel tank's delicate sending unit center electric connections. I cut a vinyl fabric circle patch and poked holes where the screws are that mount the sending unit to the tank. Then removed the screws and installed the vinyl patch on top of the sending unit and screwed down.
Now the center delicate wire connections are safe and protected from damaging.
