MG Tour Pro - Foot Pedal friction?

So, I've been through the pedal friction calibration / adjustment with the remote and the mechanical tension adjust, and I just can't seem to "stiffen" up my pedal. It's like a wet noodle, not much resistance at all....

Is anyone else having this issue? Yeah, I know it's subjective but I can't tell any difference between the 1 and 5 setting on the electronic adjustment.

Been there and done that. Ended up exchanging mine through motorguide. The new one works like it should.
