    Champ 203

I am looking at a 2004 203. Anything I should be aware of? Is this the yr they switched from a wooden transom? It has stupid low hrs (around 100) and only has a 225 Merc on it. No signs of damage anywhere and been garaged. I’m 9 hrs away, so I have to trust the seller until I make a choice to get there. Any help is appreciated.

All composite. Just be aware that composite is not bullet-proof. 203 with 225 should be a good combination.

The 203 is one of the best champ models made and performs well with a 225.

Ha. Manassas. It’s a good looking boat. Apparently the original owner out 40 hrs on it in 17 yrs and the new owner ( somewhat young) put the other 50 on it this summer.

Pm me some details and pics. I’m still in the looking stage as a month of covid ate up spending money, but always moving forward.
