    Does a year 2000 champ have a wood transom?

    Will a year 2000 champion have a wood transom? Saw some white powder marks below jack plate and just pulled the motor. Water came out when bolts taken out. Water was clear and not brown….

    Yes, but it sounds like you caught it before any problems. Others will know better than I, but I suspect drying with heat lamps and then sealing will take care of things for you.
