OK, I'm new to the forum and have only been reading posts but I could use some help. I hope this reads well.
I have a 2022 Xpress X19 and did all the custom buildout. I have a 2022 Yamaha 200 HP SHO VF200LB with Humminbird SOLIX. The Humminbird One Boat ethernet network is working fine and 100% separate. My challenge is that I cannot get Yamaha NMEA 2000 output to display on the SOLIX. The Yamaha does not show up under NMEA Device list when the ignition is turned on.
Configuration:
1 - NMEA 2000 Yamaha engine interface cable
1 - NMEA 2000 Ancor 5M backbone cable
2 - NMEA 2000 Ancor T connectors
1 - NMEA 2000 Humminbird power cable w/T
1 - NMEA 2000 Ancor 1.5M drop cable to SOLIX
2 - NMEA terminators, 1 male 1 female
1 - Humminbird SOLIX G3
1 - 2022 Yamaha 200HP SHO VMAX Model VF200-LB
Testing:
- I confirmed 12v throughout the backbone and that I have continuity.
- I have replaced each T, the terminators, the power cable, the Yamaha engine interface cable, & swapped the drop cable from the SOLIX with the backbone cable.
- I also tested with a 2nd SOLIX, there are 2 SOLIX at the console. I test with only 1 powered up at a time and NMEA 2000 is enabled with auto-select
- I've called Humminbird and Yamaha, neither provided additional guidance.
- I called the dealer and got the NMEA 2000 PDF from the Humminbird site.
From the information on both the Humminbird and Yamaha sites, the new Yamaha SHO models are NMEA 2000 compatible and do not require Command Link or the Command Link Plus gateways.
Next step is to purchase a .5M NMEA 2000 drop cable to create a test whip, but I'm now out of my swim lane. Any suggestions or guidance would be appreciated.
