    Well...After a 16wk wait, today I was to take delivery on my 520r. Until I got "the call", the boat can't leave the dealership until they are able to install a part that prevents the steering wheel from completely breaking off the steering column. Apparently, Sea Star had a casting issue. Dealership said there is a delay on the parts availability, and would keep me posted when it arrives. Sooo...the wait continues. I know this isn't a Ranger problem, it's a Sea Star issue. But this is a huge bummer, hope I'm not waiting long.

    Did you order the heated steering wheel or the standard?

    Good on Ranger for quickly getting on the right side of this issue. Last thing we need is somebody getting hurt. Waiting for your rig sucks, but better than a potential accident.

    Can’t you just put a non heated steering wheel on it for now? There was a thread here regarding those heated steering wheel issues but I think it got removed. Seems like the type of thing we would want people to know about rather than hide the info. Or maybe it’s still a active thread and I just can’t find it. Regardless. Anyone that has a heated steering wheel on a new Ranger needs to take this seriously.

    That is an option on the ‘23 model R boats.

    A couple hours later the dealership called me back and said that the recall didn't apply to me being that my boat had a non-heated steering wheel. So I got to take delivery....it's awesome!

    My thread was becoming a "Ranger bashing" thread, so I had it deleted.

    Ranger has put out a stop sell order on the boats with the heated steering wheels, so it sounds like they're on top of it.
