Mega 360 is just a black screen in the Mega frequencies.

New Mega 360 user so im still learning. My problem is that 360 shows nothing (black screen) when I switch from 455 to mega freq. It works great in 455. I have the mega 360 hooked up to a dedicated Helix 15 DI G4N+, no other transducers run thru this unit. I have clean power (10ga marine wire) run from each bow unit to battery.

Current updates, Mega 360 transducer selected, factory default reset run several times. I've even tried powering down all other units in the boat, including ethernet hub, and running only the Mega 360 and dedicated Helix 15 DI.....same result.

Any thought?

Could this possibly be a low voltage issue? Would the 455khz still work fine if this were the problem?

I should have mentioned that while I have the 360 in the mega freqs and turn the sensitivity up ALL the way I can see some slight brown spots that show on the screen a few feet from the boat. By the next revaluation of the dial they are gone or moved drastically to a different location while sitting perfectly still.

It could be a unit processor glitch or weak SI piezos in the MEGA 360.

If you connect the MEGA 360 to another unit that supports it, you can confirm if the MEGA 360 or Helix 15 is the issue.

I went through the same issue and they sent me another Mega 360.

Moved a Helix 12SI/DI G4N+ up to the bow. Hooked everything up and got the same results. Seems to work pretty well in 455khz but when switched to Mega Freqs screen goes black.

I get the same results when I put the mega 360 in SI mode.

stosiak did you just contact customer service? I bought this mega 360 from another member here. It was supposed to be only a month old. I'm not sure if it was ever registered.

You don't register devices with Humminbird any more. The 2 year warranty is only available with proof of original purchase.

I contacted Humminbird Tech support today. They suggested all the things I've already done several times. Still have a new $1200 boat anchor hanging off my trolling motor!
