    PSA: Christmas Shopping

Time to start thinking about what you are getting folks, with the supply chain issues and all. You heard it here first—one of you will be at Walmart December 24th at 5PM shopping!

I am 25% complete, just hit “Complete” on tickets to Hawaii for my son and his soon to be fiancee for her sisters wedding in Feb (yes, 100% refundable). Guess our 2 other sons will get a couple of gallons of gas each, the wife a homemade card, and I won’t see any new glide baits under the tree.

I think this year I'm just going to buy stuff that my family can give me.

Christmas has been so much more enjoyable since our family quit doing presents. We still to do it, just way differently. We have everyone buy one present between $25-$50, and everybody at the Christmas party draws and number and we go around and you pick from pile. It’s a lot of fun cause you never know what you’re going to get, and it takes all the stress out of the holidays. All you gotta do Is buy one gift. Makes it easier to come up with something unique and thoughtful. Best thing our family has ever done

We do trips now that the munchkin is gone. If the airlines get it together, we will be in NYC in early December, between the holidays.

I don't do any Christmas shopping. GF and I buy what we want all year and don't exchange gifts. GF sends out Christmas cards.

Wife and I started giving each other a prepaid card because we each buy what we want thru the year. The kids and especially the grandkids get a ton of stuff.

I get sick of Christmas about Halloween after the first week of Christmas advertisements. It's way too commercial and overrated.

We are going on a huge Christmas party and the most difficult part is to find an outfit for the whole family.
Most of the presents are ordered by now, cause i hate doing shopping in the last couple of days. My wife already received her gorgeous dress , so i need to find something elegant which matches her dress.

We don’t do Xmas either. No shopping no b.s. Same as Bob G minus the cards.

We still do the normal Christmas type thing. With my son hes 14 so he wants more cash than anything but we always seem to get him a PS4 game or something else similar.
My daughter is 9 so shes still pretty easy.
Mom is simple, Shes 82 so we normally get her bird feeders of some kind and shes plenty happy.
My wife is a tad harder for me. She does like similar things that I do like fishing and hunting so i normally get her some small stuff like that but other stuff is much harder.
Me im simple. I make the wife a wish list on Tackle Warehouse and she shops off of it.

I only buy for a few close family members. At least they don't get insulted when a gift card is given. My grandma would have rather gotten something she'd prefer to throw in the trash over a gift card to get what she wants. She wanted to know that you put a lot of thought into it even if it meant failing miserably. Different generations and mindsets I guess. Someone saying "it's the thought that counts" is the ultimate insult.
