Should I be able to move motor back and forth and inch or so?
This is the only adjustment on your steering that might make it lose, seen this several times on new boats where it isn’t tight. You turn this in as close as you can then tighten the Allen head set screw. If this doesn’t fix it you may need to get your dealer to bleed the air out of the sea star steering.
