    Black light jack in gunnel

Anyone done this on a 1980? I'm talking about the 1/4" head phone jack type. The gunnel isnt square and angles back towards the rub rail. It looks like it will be close. Just might have to mount closer to the inside of the boat. Just asking before i drill some holes in my boat.

Are you thinking about running lights around the inside rails? Hence the jack.

I ended up drilling the hole 1" from the edge to the center. I might have been able to go maybe 1/2" farther but I was worried the jack would bottom out. The suction cups have plenty of room to suck down.

They work really well. They are a little pricey but what isn't for a boat. The green light is great if you want to see the bank. You can run either the black light or both together. I have used them for the past 2 years without issues. When your done just put them in a compartment and there isn't anything to get in the way.
