    Wrong seal

I have a 2015 Ranger trailer. I replaced the seals and mistakenly
used seals with a 1.719" id. The correct seals have a 1.68" id. Do I
I need to redo them? Tia.

I would if they were mine.

Did the same thing once due to not checking the order when received and just installing the seals.

Grease was slipping out past the rear seal and slinging on the inside of the wheel.

After I pulled it back apart and figured out the problem, I was surprised how little water was found inside the hub.

I thought there would have been a lot more water intrusion after a 1/2 dozen or so trips.

    Good Luck

Thanks. I think you're right, just gonna go ahead and get the right one. Have you replaced the wear rings? If so, how do they come off?

    Yes, on multiple trailers.

Some are easy, some require a bit more patience.

    Good Luck

    Yes sir..
Most wear sleeves will come off with some heat and a good tap or three.
Others require more. A Dremel with a cutoff wheel will get the tough ones

Score the wear sleeves until you're just about through, then put a thin tipped flathead screwdriver in the score and give it a tap. Should pop right through if you cut enough and then the wear sleeve will come right off.

Thanks everyone. The dremel and screwdriver did the trick.
