    Weedguard Help

My weedguards are flaring out when glued into jig heads. I powder paint jigs and use a heat resistant non-stick base hole pin to protect the weedguard hole while powder painting. I use Do-It FG-30 weedguards.

Is there a better weedguard out there, or do you have suggestions how to keep the weedguard from flaring out?

Not sure if this will help but I always glue the end that the individual fibers are loose into the head and then when done with the jig build, I cut the hot knife cut end end down releasing the fibers.

try stripping a few fibers out i have found that it depends on where you order them from. I have not tried BOSS yet but Barlows is ok Lure parts and netcraft not good, and it could be where they order from

I have to agree with Mike, Boss weedguards fit the hole better than any others that I have used. I don’t have a problem with flaring very often but once in a while I do but then try the Boss and it fits fine.
