    Driver's seat position in 520C vs 520L

For those who have had both the C and L boat, is the driver's seat closer to the console in the C boat? I'm currently fishing out of a 520L (borrowed) and recently went to look at a 520C. When I sat in the 520C, it felt a few inches closer. In the 520L even with the seat moved all the way forward, I'm still further from the steering wheel than I'd like.

    I am vertically challenged, 5'6"...

I'm 6 ft tall and my 520c is the 1st boat I've ever owned that I have to much room with the seat all the way back. I have my seat pulled up about 3 inches

Yes the 520L definitely has more room than the C boats. Like you said my 520L has too much room for me. I am 5'10" and have the seat all the way forward. Still can't sit back in the seat all the way and drive comfortably in rough water. Wish I could get the console about 6 inches closer to the seat.

Boom... I didn't think I was crazy!! In the 520L, even with the seat all the way forward and my life jacket on, I'm still too far away. This boat has a G2 on it, so I switched it to throttle from the hotfoot which makes driving it easier.

521L, 5'10" seat all the way forward and it was still hard to reach steering wheel and foot throttle if I sat in the seat normally. I modified the foot pedal slide by drilling and tapping another hole so I could slide it back and additional 2" and still lock it in place. Also while I was doing that I drilled new holes and twisted the foot pedal as much as I could and still fit in the slide so I at least amid at my right leg and not at my 3rd leg. I wish ranger would fix the damn top cap mold and remove the right foot rest so the foot pedal can be mounted where it should be in front of your right leg. You can make a aluminum dead pedal for a footrest for the 5 percent of boats that are not bought with the hot foot option. I also got a new steering wheel with 3" of dish to it so I can reach that better also.

Dito 5' 9' and on my L I have the seat as far forward as I can get it. As a former machine operator I learned a long time ago I learned and got used to driving with my left foot on the hot foot. On rough water days Ill Take the throw cushion and place it behind me with a bungee strap around the back of the seat to hold it in place this helps a bunch.

my hotfoot is to the left of the steering column? seems wrong but no other place to put it with the stinger design ranger has so left foot is only way to drive a 519 apparently

5'10" here. Seat 1 click back. Don't seem to have any issue with G2 pedal.

I wish 519 had adjustable seat position

I sat in every boat i could before buying my Z520L. The top of the seat and the bottom of the console were directly across from each other in every one except the L boat. At 6' 3" I couldn't get my legs under any of them.
