Whats the best area of Texas to spend part of the winter in for bass fishing? Looking for retirement area to stay for a month or two... from Michigan (LSC) and never been to Texas

Large state and many good lakes. Guessing Fork would be a good destination lake. Lots of lakes in decent driving distance around it.

Fayette County Lake, or any other power plant lake in Texas.

"use to be" are the key words. Amistad is at record low water levels. Diablo East ramp is expected to close in the next few days.
    Falcon is also extremely low.

Hate it even worse for those who depend on the lake for there livelyhood.

Choke Canyon woukd be a good choice if Falcon doesn’t catch any water.
    Thanks
