Go to lake for end of August first week September?

Unfortunately I have vacation scheduled when I don't want. I'll be off end of August into first week of September. Any suggestions on a lake that still wont be a hot tub!! LOL Still new to Texas and like trying new lakes. I have fished Rayburn, Fork, and Conroe for bigger Lakes around where I live. Thanks.

Man I think they will still be hot!! You might try Murvaul, Naconiche, Nacogdoches, all up north on 59. Houston County is near Crockett. Fayette, Somerville to the west of us.

    Good luck.

I was afraid of that. May have to drive North North out of Texas.

I second Texoma. I have always had luck there year around. You just have to start at dawn. It really slows down by 11:00. You can catch bass and striper in same area.
