Does anybody know if a 2004 Evinrude e150fplsrs has a filter screen at the fuel line at the vst? I dont want to risk possibly breaking something taking the line off and there not be a filter. All the parts lists I have seen don’t show a filter.

Thanks for the reply. I pulled the screen out and it was pretty clean. I’m fighting gremlins with this engine running rough. So I’m trying to explore all possibilities. Have you had any issues with excessive carbon build up?

I just bought twin '05 175's last fall.
After I installed them, I found I had a bad HP fuel pump on the port engine.
I dis-assembled the VST and replaced the HP.
After installing the new pump, the engine runs great.
I am very satisfied w. these engines so far!
Do you have the diagnostic software? If so, is it showing any codes?

I do not have the software. I’m going to have to break down and get it. All the local shops I’ve talked said they won’t touch the engine due to parts unavailability. I’ll have to check if Amazon sells the software.

I highly recommend a FACTORY service manual also.

Part number for the VST filter: 0354190.

1985 totally refurbished Pro-Line 21A Cuddy - 175hp Evinrude FFI
Im doing some work on my 04 200 DI does anyone know if/where my motor is supposed to have this filter? I removed both lines from bottom of the VST and no filter. No parts diagrams show it and manual says nothing about it anywhere
