First, what is the actual name of this cable and can it be replaced?
My wife's youngest brother backed into my boat trailer in a temper tantrum and pinched the cable pretty badly. I think it should probably be replaced if possible.

Breakaway cable. should be able to get just the cable or the whole assembly.
Looks like an A 60 actuator brake assembly.
That actuator is in need of more than just that cable. Do the brakes work?
Yeah, personally I would replace the whole actuator. Figure on about $400 and 1/2 a day to get it installed and make the electrical connections. Just did it to mine and it's amazing how well the trailer stops now that the brakes are working!
