Been years, but the Clermont Chain of Lakes use to have some clear water. Don't remember exactly which lakes.
Search from where you are. Probably around a hour. If Lake Panasoffkee is weedy, it should be. I haven't been there in years either. I got out of tournament fishing after decades, and started hitting Tenoroc locally most of the time. Search those from Ocala, and see what kind of info you can get for them.
Hopefully someone who has been fishing them will reply, and give recent information. Because it has been years. I am just trying to remember way back.

Inside Ocala National Forest, there are spring fed lakes, they're very nice.
Can't remember any names, etc. We fished them eons ago, growing up.
I'd find an old timer in the area, ask about the area specifically. Good luck.

Or if you could get on Kingsley Lake, that’s as clear as Kerr. I’m sure it’s a disaster after 10am

Kingsley isn't really worth trying to get on anymore.

Forest lakes are a better experience.

P.S. Do us all a favor ... don't post results, unless they stink. We don't need extra folks in there.

Withlacoochee at Rainbow River. maybe SantaFe to the north but that may be a little further. Winter Haven Chain has some clear lakes. may be a little farther.

According to Google maps, Lake Underhill is a little over an hour from Belleview. I fished it once a couple years ago and it was crystal clear. I didn't have any luck there but it's supposed to be good trophy lake

That’s a shame…fun lake to fish during bed season, were a lot of specks in there too

Kingsley gained too much press thru the Trophy Catch program.
Specks are still on the list, just don't expect big momma to bite.
The key to clear lakes here, springs. And way less spraying too.

This is wrong and I fish it 100 plus days a year. People just learned to shut up.
