    Jig Bait Keeper

I love my Z-Man Snakehead Swim Jigs, but the plastic molded keeper tends to break off eventually leaving a bare hook. Is there a good way to add a bait keeper to a bare hook? I've tried the rod cement + heat shrink trick but it eventually comes loose as well.

I would just buy the wire keepers intended for molding into jigs, thread wrap them on where you want them and one drop of superglue, and you will be all set.

You can use about any light wire and thread wrap it to the hook then bend it how you want. You can also use shrink tubing.

I usually cut a heavy staple for a staplegun to the desired shape and tie it to the hook shank with old braided fishing line . I then coat the wrapped braid with super glue and it's not going anywhere .
